Welcome to our Products Home Page!

We have a large line of products that vary between pastes, powders, and pellets.  Our products are geared toward, but not limited to, performance animals.

Each Oralx product is generally test-free, however, Oralx is unable to make any guarantees regarding whether a product will test, due to the differing rules and regulations between events.  If you have any questions regarding whether a product will test, contact those in charge of the event in which your animal will be competing, for their rules and regulations, then review the list of ingredients contained in the particular product in question.

For any additional questions contact us at 1-801-731-4050.

Our pastes generally come in 34 gram syringes, such as those products described on this page.

We also have pastes that come in 6 ml. syringes and 60 cc. syringes.  These products as well as our powders and pellets will be described on subsequent pages.  Please be aware that this site is still under construction, so please remain patient.

Calf Calm and Calm and Cool, though specially formulated for calves or horses, respectively, each contain a special blend of herbs and the amino acid "L-Tryptophan."  L-Tryptophan is an "essential" amino acid, meaning that it is essential to life and cannot be synthesized by the body.  L-Tryptophan, of all the essential amino acids, is the least abundant in typical animal feeds.  Therefore, it is often lacking in the diet and must be supplemented.  L-Tryptophan is essential to the proper functioning of the nervous system.

The herbs in Calf Calm and Calm and Cool are those that are known to have a calming or relaxing effect.  The Merck Index, tenth edition specifically mentions Valerian Root and Passion Flower as having this therapeutic effect.

Indication:  Administer directly from the oral-dose syringe onto the back of the animal's tongue two to four hours prior to competition or transporting.

Show Calf 2 and Tryptoplex though specially formulated for calves or horses, respectively, each contain a unique blend of the amino acid L-Tryptophan, magnesium, vitamin B-6, and specific herbs.  Magnesium and vitamin B-6 are present in the formula to enhance the metabolism of the L-Tryptophan.

Show Calf 2 and Tryptoplex are similar in formulation to Calf Calm and Calm and Cool in that both products contain L-Tryptophan and are intended for the same purpose.  However, Show Calf 2 and Tryptoplex do not contain the herb "Valerian Root," enabling these products to fit the guidelines of some show horse associations that do not allow the use of Valerian Root.

Indication:  Administer directly from the oral-dose syringe onto the back of the animal's tongue two to four hours prior to competition or transporting.

Cough Calm is to be used as an aid for the temporary relief of bronchial congestion and minor throat irritation.  Cough Calm is especially effective for the temporary relief of the dry, hacking cough caused by dusty, dry conditions often associated with the closely confined stables.

Ingredients:  Glycerin, Water, Sorbitol, Peppermint Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Methyl Paraben(as a preservative), artificial coloring.

Indication:  Administer directly from the syringe onto back of horse's tongue.  One mark on the plunger for each 100 lbs. of body weight.

Electro-plex

Chelated trace minerals are the key to fast absorption.  Electro-plex goes far beyond containing just trace minerals.  It also contains important B vitamins and nineteen different amino acids, including all eight essential amino acids.

The main purpose of an electrolyte is to help prevent dehydration.  Electro-plex helps replace the minerals that are lost from the equine athlete's system during exertion.  Just as important, however, Electro-plex is very effective in stimulating a horse to drink water.

Hot weather and heavy exercise take their toll on a horse's system.  Combine these two factors with the diuretic drugs that are commonly administered to race horses and the threat of dehydration becomes an ever present problem.  Electro-plex excels at meeting the extreme demands that these factors play on a horse's system.

Calf-Lyte, an electrolyte for calves, is also available.

Indication:  To be used just prior to, or immediately following a race or workout to replace the important electrolytes and nutrients lost due to physical stress.  Always provide ample drinking water.  Administer entire contents onto the back of horse's tongue.

Energy-Aid is a blend of herbs and the amino acid L-Tyrosine.

L-Tyrosine is an essential amino acid that is rapidly metabolized and quickly passes the blood-brain barrier.  Once in the brain, it is a precursor for the neurotransmitters dopaine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, better known as adrenaline.  These neurotransmitters are an important part of the nervous system, and their concentrations in the body and brain are directly dependent upon dietary L-Tyrosine. Energy-Aid contains the herbs, Gotu Kola and Ginger Root, these herbs are known to have stimulative effects.  (source:  The Merck Index Tenth Edition)

Indication:  Administer the entire contents onto the back of the horse's tongue.  Energy-Aid should be administered two to four hours before competition or event.

Lactinex supplies the nutritional components for the conversion of glucose and glycogen to acetyl coenzyme A.  This process is key to efficient cellular energy release and essential to maximum energy levels.

Indication:  Administer entire contents four hours prior to event.  For maximum benefit, an additional syringe may be administered the evening before the event.

Micro B-12 12X contains 12,000 micrograms of Vitamin B-12.

Vitamin B-12 is essential for these normal functions in animals.

  • Growth, health, feed efficiency and reproduction
  • Formation of red blood cells
  • Nervous system functions
  • Hair growth
  • Carbohydrate and fat metabolism

Indication:  Administer entire contents onto back of horse's tongue.

Oralx-B combines chelated minerals and a vitamin concentrate into an oral paste that is quick, easy, and safe to use.  It is intended for B-Complex, Iron and Copper deficiencies in horses.  To be used as an aid in building and maintaining red blood cell counts in horses that may have deficiencies due to stress, sickness, infection, or the rigors of training, racing, or competition.  Also intended as a supplemental source of vitamins and minerals.

Due to the use of chelated minerals, Oralx-B helps assure fast, effective absorption.  The oral application of Oralx-B makes it a safe and legal product for both the professional and the lay horseman and helps eliminate needless injections.

Indication:  Horses that are involved in strenuous activity, training, and competition should receive two tubes of Oralx-B weekly:  one tube 24 to 36 hours before the event, and one tube at midweek.  Oralx-B is an excellent aid in helping to maintain the proper nutrient levels that allow the active horse to bounce back to form after an event or performance.

Phenalgin-D is a blend of the amino acid DL-Phenylalanine and special herbs.  DL-Phenylalanine is considered an "essential" amino acid because it is a necessary component in equine nutrition and cannot be synthesized by the body.  If DL-Phenylalanine is lacking in the body it must be supplemented.

DL-Phenylalanine may have the ability to block certain enzymes in the central nervous system that are normally responsible for breaking down natural morphine-like hormones called endorphins and enkephalins.

The endorphins and enkephalins act as mild mood elevators and potent analgesic (pain relievers).  In humans DL-Phenylalanine has been suggested to be effective against the pain of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, joint pain...etc. (source:  The Healing Within, Eric R. Braverman, M.D.)

Indications:  Administer entire content onto back of horse's tongue.  Should be administered approximately four hours prior to competition.

Rebound 3

Under normal circumstances the horse is an extremely efficient machine.  However, like so many efficient machines, even the slightest deviation from normal can cause problems.  The most likely cause of such deviation in today's horse is stress.

One of the first consequences of stress is that the natural balance of flora in the animal becomes disturbed.  The intestinal flora are as essential as the liver, kidneys, or any other functional organ.  The flora are important in the breakdown and subsequent absorption of nutrients in order to help ensure that the body's protective system or immunity system remains intact.

In addition to stress, chemical additives, worming remedies, and antibiotics are factors which can seriously affect the composition of normal intestinal flora.  Rebound 3 is designed to help restore and maintain the desirable micro-organisms in the gut of the horse.

Rebound-3 is an oral-dose paste representing an exclusive formulation of host-specific intestinal bacteria.  The 30 gram syringe contains 3 full doses.

Indications:

Newborn Foal:  10 grams at 24 hours, repeat at 48 hours repeat on day 3

Weaning:  10 grams at weaning, repeat on day three

Horses:  10 grams after worming, 8 to 10 hours prior to anticipated stress or condition changes.  Can be repeated as needed.
